friday our family wraps up one helluva hot chapter as Sub Swara says
goodbye to LOVE with an epic live throwdown with superstar DC crew
Fort Knox Five. if you know Sub Swara, you've heard FK5. these
eponimous producers have been all over Sub Swara's tracks, creating
instant classic remixes like the fully funktified version of the
Balance (check it on www.myspace.com/subswara) ... and SScrew has been
all up in theirs - take Dhruva's version of Killa Sound Bwoys, the
original of which is currently wrecking the charts... (check

the real treat tomorrow night will be the live musical experience of
these crews mixing and mashing it up on tables, decks, laptops, and a
full band of live instrumentation all pumping back through the huge
Love soundsystem. . .

plus i will be cashing in on my overdue spankings, so don't sleep!

this one will indeed be an epic, bassdrenched, funky, truly
unpredictably live bash to get down with in the phamilee way ... come

On 'Radio Free D.C.' Fort Knox invited many of their close friends
from around the Nation's Capitol, including Asheru (Unspoken Heard),
Mustafa Akbar, Rootz & Zeebo (See-I), Sleepy Wonder and Ian Svenonius
(Nation of Ulysses/The Make Up) to help them create a record that
captures DC's musical diversity. Sought after producers and remixers
FK5 have over 20 remixes to their credit, including monster mixes for
A. Skillz and Krafty Kuts, Kraak & Smaak, Sub Swara, Ursula 1000,
Dynamo Productions, and Mo' Horizons, as well as remixes of the
legendary Tito Puente, Louis Armstrong, and Robert Nesta. They
produced 4 crucial tracks for Afrika Bambaataa's album 'Dark Matter
Moving at the Speed of Light.'

For this show FK5 takes things back to their roots, keeping the vibe
upfull and centered around the city they love, Washington D.C. joined
by a host of special guests tba. Hear FK5 the way they are meant to be

::034:: will be the last in a 3 year run of monthly Sub Swara events
in nyc. We will be focusing on touring and producing in the year to
come. Don't stress too much though...Sub Swara will still be producing
massive quarterly events in New York in 2009: larger venues,
incredible line-ups, bigger production and us!!!. Details very much
forthcoming.
