Hello everyone, Im new to nyc,
but in my hometown,
we ladies used to get together
and bring loads of clothes we didn't want anymore to a common area (possibly grandspace?)
and swap em'. It was great for the community and kept us all from spending, or wasting more on new clothes...
We also made food, or brought drinks, etc etc..
anyone interested? input invited.

so I am open to whichever location and will chip in with some refreshments, planning date and time etc etc. is tribe the best way to communicate and figure out time and date, or should we start a list? there are groups through email that work nicely..

yes! sounds like a good place and time for a trial run, do we want to shoot for sunday? ...how does everyone else feel? Im not sure what LIC means..?
and then it will give me time to create a "formal proposal" to the people at grandspace :)

The main floorspace is about 47ft long and 10-20 feet wide, with a full length mirror and good counterspace. Either date is good.

we'll have the date by the end of the week. ...
does the time of day matter? we usually had them in the evening, from like 5-9pm on sundays. just in case people had to get up super early to go to work on mondays.. -

i mean swap with the ladies.
and grandspace is definitely best for me.
90% of the clothes i wear are 2nd+ generation, either thrift, street-found (u wouldn't believe how many viable wearables come into my world as apparant trash), or from my grrrlfreinds' giveaway pile. . . (having a sewing machine and serger help make most aiight finds consummately wearable)
i have acquired everything i need for a healthy wardrobe plus more than i will ever wear, for free. . .
i think it's a gggreat fun thing to share the wealth and juice up the community. . .

I would be happy to jump on some surger / sewing machine on the spot alteration duty .
i too have been cultivating some particular slash and tie stylees from when i was a much mini'''er version of me unil well i actualy just cut a shirt up this morning/ the truth is i dont own much which hasnt been hacked into to maximize adjustability/comfort/skin peepery. so to say id love to hack and teach others to hack .Tis Fun

Doesnt mean that we still couldnt meet out with Suz, for the first little gathering, until it grows into a wild party of like 1,000 crazy ladies...
