Thu, September 8, 2005 - 12:24 PMYo, give the girl a break.... just cause you type in some words into a search engine doesn't mean that you'll find a good club or one that vibes with your type of scene. She's asking for some first hand knowledge.
When I came out to NYC a last month there is no way that I would have found the Sub Swara night by just using google... I was blessed to find out about the event from postings on the NYC Burner list... -

I ironically I found this post via Google! ie vicioius circle.
I totally agree about about google sucking on this kind of thing and I was quite happy when google took me back around to find this tribe listing - tribe is a place I trust.
Before tribe, after my first burn, it took me about 6 months of clubing 4-5 night a week ( I went a little crazy) to track find my nitch in San Fran - Raindance, Tipper, Lorin, False Profit etc in San Fran. I can't imagine spending a weekend in SF and depending on Google to find where it's at.
SO speaking of paris, google and a weekend - I have a weekend or two in Paris and would loe to find places to dance that are good or even better under grounds stuff. I lived there for 6 years in my pre burningman days and never went dancing once. Now that I'm headed back I'd like to check the scene out and the closer it is to breakbeats, dub, idm the better, though I'm flexible on the music if the venue and people ar cool.
